Elizabeth Peyton

These are a few works done by Peyton that captured my interest...

Elizabeth Peyton, born 1965, studied fine arts in the mid-80s at the School of Visual Arts. Contemporary American Painter whose first successful exhibition in NYC was in a Chelsea Hotel room. Known for her stylized and idealized portraits of her close friends, pop celebrities, and European Monarchy. Beautiful.

4 of the 40

This was one of the first drawings created. I tried to reflect what was going on in my mind that night. Jibberish.

My friend crouching with his art supplies in hand. We were trying to finish up our homework, and he had a very unique mischevious look on his face. I just wanted to capture that expression somehow, and this is the outcome. Say hello to Jason.

Created at work, after watching all the oh-so-busy people who are always in a hurry to get their coffee.

This girl was just off the top of my head. I love drawing people and figures especially in motion.

New Blog

Finally made my blog. yay.
